Students will be coming home with the following letter this week. If your child is interested in joining the Discovery Academy Choir, please return the bottom portion to me by Monday, November 9th.

Dear Third and Fourth Grade Families,
I am so pleased to announce that the very first Discovery Academy Choir will be starting at the end of November! This premier singing group will prepare beautiful one- and two-part vocal music to perform at Music and Arts Night on Thursday, May 26th.
Rehearsals will be after school from 3:15-4:00 on either Mondays or Wednesdays. Each singer will be assigned to only one day of rehearsal per week. Combined rehearsals will take place about once a month starting in March on Mondays after school. Parents are responsible for picking up their child(ren) promptly at 4:00 after rehearsal.
I will be holding placement auditions for interested students during the school day starting on November 9th. If your child is interested in joining choir, please return this letter to me by Monday, November 9th. I will do my best to ensure that your child has rehearsal on a day that works for your family. Rehearsals will begin Monday, November 30th and run through the end of May.

There are so many hard-working and talented singers at Discovery Academy, and I hope that many of our third and fourth graders will be able to participate! Please email me if you have any questions or concerns.
